Amid its financial and operational challenges, Huboo has struggled with transparency. Customers often report a lack of clear communication regarding service issues or operational changes, leading to frustration and uncertainty.
The Importance of Transparency
Effective communication builds trust between a company and its customers. However, Huboo’s failure to address concerns openly has raised questions about its ability to manage relationships during times of crisis.
How This Affects Customers
Lack of transparency can lead to:
- Uncertainty about service reliability and timelines.
- Difficulty planning logistics around unclear information.
- Loss of trust, impacting long-term customer relationships.
What Customers Can Do
To navigate Huboo’s communication gaps, businesses should:
- Stay proactive in seeking updates and clarifications from their account managers.
- Monitor fulfillment performance and escalate issues promptly.
- Evaluate alternative providers for more reliable communication and service.
Conclusion
Transparency is essential during times of change. By addressing communication gaps proactively, businesses can minimize disruptions and protect their customer relationships.

SCAM! STEER CLEAR! THEY ABUSE DIRECT DEBIT TO EMPTY YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!
It all started in 2024, when Huboo turned into a nightmare. The first problem was that every invoice would have significant billing errors (always in huboo’s favor), and it would take multiple emails to sort each one out. Dozens of items were overcharged by around £8 per item, on every invoice. The invoices were updated into a very confusing, unreadable spreadsheet to make discerning each overcharge quite difficult. The new format suddlenly became very time consuming around the same time as the overcharges started. Conveniently for huboo, multiple line items were suddenly moved into a single cell of the spreadsheet in a very long, mish-mashed line item for multiple orders, in an attempt to hide and obfuscate the overcharged items. Thankfully I was able to dig them out after a few hours of studying the spreadsheets, and via multiple emails back and forth over a month’s time, they did finally refund those.
Then in December I received a 2 week notice, that my monthly cost would triple. I did not have enough time to cancel (they claimed these emails were sent a month in advance, but they admitted (in writing) that my email was only sent 2 weeks in advance). This cost me over £500 unexpectedly.
I began offboarding immediately, and they sent me an invoice with 4 line items. I paid by bank transfer and cancelled my direct debit. They proceeded to also charge that invoice a 2nd time, now by direct debit, even after acknowledging they had received the bank transfer already. So I was then out of pocket, over £700, in unexpected fees and duplicate direct debit charges. Imediately after this, they went into ‘administration’ leaving me with no recourse to claim a refund.
I have been told they no longer take responsibilty for the duplicate direct debit charge, or for the expensive surprise fee, and to contact the administrators. However, the administrators do not respond and I have had no ability to contact them. I tried to chargeback the direct debit which failed, and now they are demanding that I once again pay the entire invoice, in the amount of over £1000, even though I already paid it once via bank transfer, and then again with a duplicate direct debit charge! I have been charged twice now, and they claim nothing was received and are demanding a third duplicate of the same payment. Thank god the direct debit was cancelled as they would be helping themselves to even more.
My £700 is now stolen and they would like to steal another £1000 for yet another, duplicate invoice that they’ve just invented, as punishment for trying (and failing) to chargeback the duplicate payment. I still can not contact them regarding this as they have washed their hands after the administration process. Yet they still have the gall to email me from a ‘no response email’, and attempt further theft of yet another £1000! Absolutely blatent theivery.
I’ve been with them since 2021, but and they used to be an honest and reliable firm, but in 2024 they turned into a direct debit scam.
